Does braiding your hair help it grow?

If so, how or when should I braid it?Does braiding your hair help it grow?
Not sure if it is a fact, but I know lots of girls who do braid their hair to make it grow a couple of centimeters.

I myself have braided my hair in the past and funnily enough it has grown a couple centimeters and I am Asian.

I don't think there is a specific time when you should braid it... when ever you want really but when you do be sure to massage a product into your scalp and on the ends of your hair. Something like Dax Pomade or Coconut Oil or Hair Food... and keep reapplying these products to your scalp after braids.

I find that these products nourish your hair whilst being braided and also moisturize your scalp as braiding can damage the hair and scalp.

As I said before I am unsure about facts but I know from myself and others it is possible... but not to a drastic length.

I hope this helps.

EDIT: Olive Oil... its a miracle! Olive Oil products for braids or just plain old Olive Oil it's self helps.

Massage into hair and scalp and put a plastic bag on your head or tinfoil to lock in heat and then wrap on top with a warm towel for as long as you can. Then wash.

This won't make your hair grow instantly but it is good for keeping it in good condition.Does braiding your hair help it grow?
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair
No, eating healthy does %26amp; not smoking does though.
