i usually tell them they were extensions and if they ask how i got them in then i tell them u take a little piece of human hair extensions and attach them to the hair by braiding it in. Does anyone get their hair braided (african hair braiding)?

African hair braider here! Say: ';oh these? They are the latest craze- I plan on indulging myself with other braid styles, different hair textures, curly, wavy, long, short....I think it's exciting! I know it's very expensive to get these done, but I know I deserve it.';
Or something to that effect. But never say flat out no, it's not my hair. Never allow anybody to make you feel bad for something that is a utility to you, that is beautiful, and above all, makes YOU feel good about yourself. Remember to always tune into the woman that is you- some days you may have to delve deeper, but this is the right time to let your 'woman' out, and you don't even have to get upset with them! Have fun with it- It works.
