Is hair braiding mostly apart of Black culture?

I ask because I only know black people who can braid, like any type of hair style. Then I met few Asians who could. I know not one White or Hispanic person who can braid. Is hair braiding mostly apart of Black culture?
yeah, it's a proven fact braiding came from africa of course.

White people don't need braids of course, because their hair is stick straight.

Black people prefer braids to give their hair a rest or to put it in manageability. i had my hair braided alot of times.

I've been noticing that braids are very underrated in the black community now.

But Perms, relaxers and stuff are overrated in the black culture.

Look at Beyonce, her hair was in blonde braids before, now she has perms/relaxers straight hair.Is hair braiding mostly apart of Black culture?
If you mean having many braids i guess so. There really is no black culture since black people live in all parts of the world. I see other cultures have two braids (pigtails) but I usually see black people and hispanics a ka-jillion braids. My mother used to braid my hair but it takes forever.
Well braiding is a part of many cultures but cornrows (a form of braiding) is a traditional style of hair grooming of African origin.

It was a common way of styling hair in populations from sub-Saharan Africa and Ancient East Africa.
braiding isnt just black culture mexican women usually have their hair braided

if your talking about corn rolls then yes it is mostly of black culture
No, it is mostly a practice of people of color. Mostly people that everybody above named.

Yep. If you want your hair braided go to an African or a Caribbean salon they are better and faster braiders but they charge you more.
it started in Africa. Native Americans braid their hair too
Yes, braids are mostly apart of Black culture. Other races look weird with braids in, TBH.
