How can I combine hair braiding with one of the fallowing art periods as an influence?

For an art project I'm to combine art of one culture and the style of either the graffitti, baroque or renessaince art periods. I chose to do my hair, using the african culture. I just dont know how to combine it with one of those art periods.How can I combine hair braiding with one of the fallowing art periods as an influence?
