Does anyone have tips on braiding layered hair?

When I braid my hair, (usually just two looser braids, not done all the way down, just braided enough to keep hair out of my face and off of my neck.)

My hair is kind of long, it comes down to about an inch past where my armpit is. And it's layered, so all these little peices stick out to the side and fall out of the braid.

Any tips on how to keep the layers in line?Does anyone have tips on braiding layered hair?
Add a little hair gel or moose when your hair is wet/damp and braid it while it's wet/damp. Super easy! When you want to go out at night just take them out, shake your head a little, and run your fingers through it! You'll have easy waves!Does anyone have tips on braiding layered hair?
Yes I do!

My hair is exactly the same way.

Get some gel, not a lot, and rub it between your hands, and smooth it over the braid. It should sleek the hair down=)

Or really any hair product like gel, wax, etc... even a good hairspray!

Good luck and God bless =D
