I've braided this one piece of my hair for about a month, and only let it out when i shower, but quickly re-braid it once I'm out. And it's WAY longer than it ever has been (and longer than the rest of my hair by at least 2 inches). I must be imagining things, eh? Or is someone on the same page as I am? ;D Silly question, I know.Ist here some myth or anything about braiding causing your hair to grow faster?
The reason people say that is because it has some truth in it. By braiding it all the time, you are drawing blood up to the roots of that area. Since hair is protein, the blood flow to there at a more constant and larger amount will feed the hair, essentially making it grow faster. Even brushing your hair for 100 strokes before going to bed will increase the blood flow and help it too.Ist here some myth or anything about braiding causing your hair to grow faster?
It is not making the hair grow faster, it is stretching it slowly.
The braid will eventually break off at the roots when the damage becomes too much.
