If so, how does this work?Is it true that braiding your hair will make it grow faster?
yes, tight braiding or cornrows will grow your hair out faster because it is literally pulling the hair out of your head. that's why you have headaches when you get it done. The hair does become finer though. regular braids do not grow hair out faster. Is it true that braiding your hair will make it grow faster?
Nope, that's a myth. There really isn't anything that can speed up hair growth, although some products like Rogaine can stimulate follicles that have ceased production.
ok for the hair dresser of 8 yrs,you have got to be kidding. Hun dont listion to her.It will only cause your hair to spilt or break and cause weakness. The only thing a braid can help with is that it will not get knotted up.inside your head you do not have long hair just waiting to come out. There is a root that growes like a flower, take care of it by not brushing to hard or pulling and have your hair trimed every 4 months. Also oily or wax build up does not let your hair breath,so if u use wax or oils dont let it touch the scalp, good luck
i thought braiding your hair often would break if off??? thats what ive always heard.
no
nope, there is no possible way to grow your hair out faster. the answer is patience and trimming your hair once in a while so that the split ends don't decrease the growing pace. eat lots of vegetables and proteins, and make sure your hair is at it's healthiest for it to grow.
