I'm an african american teen. I usually braid my hair and just leave it natural. But I just want to have a change so that's why i'm considering a weave. I don't know how it feels. I've heard that it itches like crazy but some say it's not that bad. I have no problem against braids though. Please, what's your opinion and what are the pros and cons of both hairstlyes?I'm going to get my hair done and I don't know which is better to get, a weave or braiding my hair?
well if you have braids, its pretty much the same thing (hair sewn to braids), so thats the only amount of itchiness which isnt even bad at all. you should try the weave your probably really like it. it looks very natural, and feels like your own hair. last very long, and you have a huge selection of what color, length, and style of hair you get. i highly suggest yaki hair(human of course) if you want sraight hair. because it is the closest texture to strightened african american hair. i dont really have and cons for weaves just pros. good luck, if you have ANY questions email me.I'm going to get my hair done and I don't know which is better to get, a weave or braiding my hair?
My sister uses these extensions that have the clips on the tracks. She bought the hair in December last year and still uses it to this day like its her real hair. You should try that, No glue, no sow ins, none of that. lol
You can just take it out and put it right back in. If my hair was not already long I would be doing exactly that. lol.
We live in Ohio so we have this 99cent hair place every where around here but the extensions cost about $90 but I think its well worth it rather than keep spending money on new weave and glue and damaging your hair.
I'm a natural blond and had extensions glued in that really itched. I would suggest real weaving. I really prefer braids cause you can undo them at any time and it is definitely more cost effective. Weaving is expensive.
