Braiding my hair for the 1st time?
I will be trying to braid my hair for the forst time, but I'm afraid it may come out looking stupid, %26amp; I'm also afraid to be ridiculed %26amp; teased, %26amp; I don't want to be considered as putting myself in the position to be a vulnerable target to be harrassed, but I want to try something on my own for the 1st time. How can I try something %26amp; get better @ it if I keep getting ridiculed?Braiding my hair for the 1st time?
You cant please everyone. When you get it done some people will like it and some people wont. Just prepare yourself for that now, and get it braided if you know thats whats going to be the best for you. Also, dont be afraid to tell the stylist when you dont like something. practice at home until you get it to look like the way you want it to. or ask a friend to help you or give you directions how to do it correctly.
Don't let them embarrass you! I have been wearing braids my entire life. Hint: wear hairbands that match the color of the clothing you are wearing. Good luck!
Have your hair done the way you want. No matter what your style is there will be someone that does not like it, you have to be happy with what you like
Practice at home till your satisfied with the results
Practice and have some confidence. People talk about you when your looking good and and when your looking bad, so just relax and try not to worry so much about what people think. Good luck hun!

actually I think the time long since passed, by the time you get to any body hair you can't see clothed your a goner.
Don't trust mens with braided armpit hair, it's only there to attract you to the spam factory.
Why would you leave? Guido always french braids mine after he is done talking about it...
This is a time of sharing. Get some beads..maybe some ribbons if that's cool with that someone.. rent Forrest Gump and just FEEL..you can do it ;)

How can i make sure all of my hair stays tightly in place after french braiding?
Whenever i french braid my hair, i always make sure to keep it tight, but by the time i'm done, theres always a few bumps and loose pieces tht i cannot fix with combs/bobby pins/clips. I have the same problem. Just spray it with hairspray when you're done and it will stay in. I use garnier fructis body and volume hairspray so it doesn't give a stiff hold. Good luck, hope i helped x

I don't know for sure but have been told that it causes damage to your hair. Your hair starts to break when you sleep on it while braided and around the ends where the rubber band is. But not 100% sure about that.
No it is actually really pretty and i heard it helps grow out layers but just make sure your hair is not wet because when you braid your hair and its wet your hair breaks. And you get little baby hairs at the top of your head.

No it's not, it is better for your hair then letting it get tangled all the time, especially if your going to bed and have fairly long hair. It is all the tangles that can cause hair breakage and even split ends.

If you're going to get sew ins then be careful when you take them out because you could end up cutting your hair underneath. If you get glued in, then be careful also because you might rip your hair out. Also don't leave them in too long because the hair underneath needs to breathe.
